| Welcome The Joint Grants Committee of The United Church of Canada met the week ending Friday 18th November 2011 to review the two (2) requests from The United Church of Christ in Zimbabwe for support for medical mission. The Committee approved funding for both requests. Congratulations foremost to the President, Rev. Edward Matuvhunye, for working hard to secure such funding. Our most grateful thanks to the United Church of Canada/L'Eglise Unie du Canada for the generous contribution. Only God knows how best to bless the Partners in Mission Unit (Unité des Partenaires en Mission) of the The United Church of Canada (L'Eglise Unie du Canada) abundantly. All roads lead to Mount Silinda Mission (PaChinyuka) for our regular November Synod Executive Committee Meeting scheduled for the 25th of November 2011 starting at 1400 hours. The November SEC Meeting is usually a budgeting and planning meeting meant to put before God, the Church's plans for the following year. Churches, Councils and Institutions are expected to have submitted their budgets and Action Plans by now for consideration at the November SEC Meeting. The Synod Executive Committee Meeting will be immediately followed by a Synod Extra Ordinary Annual General Meeting (I think this is the first in more than 20 years if not the first in the life of the UCCZ) on 26th November. The Synod Extra Ordinary AGM is convened to consider the proposed amendments to the Synod Constitution as announced at the last AGM of the Synod. We pray for delegates to travel safely to and from Chinyuka. We pray for the will of God to prevail so that in accordance with Mathew 5 vs 37 (Let what you say be simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything more than this comes from evil.) our agreements be unanimous and our disagreements also be unanimous. former Students or Employees in UCCZ Missions and we dare do something
to bring back the former glory of our Mission Schools and Stations. Friends
